Three Ole Miss players scoop SEC weekly honours
After another momentous win for Ole Miss on Saturday against Texas A&M, a handful of players have come away with SEC weekly honours.
Ole Miss have been involved in some epic battles this season, with the offense and defense having key performances in important wins. This weekends victory over the Aggies saw players on both sides of the ball have stand out games.
Three Rebels players made the SEC weekly honours list for their week 10 performances in the victory over Texas A&M.
Firstly, it seemed likely that wide receiver Tre Harris would be getting weekly accolades after his performance Saturday. Harris had 11 catches for 213 yards and a TD, along with some highlight reel catches. Harris scooped the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.
The second player to grab a weekly award was safety John Saunders Jr, who was the SEC co-Defensive Player of the Week. Saunders has been influential on the defense, especially over the last few games. The safety had 8 total tackles against the Aggies, with a few of them stopping potential big plays. He also had an interception in the end zone.
The final player to grab an award was Zxavian Harris, who was selected as the SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week. Harris had 7 total tackles and 1 tackle for loss.
There could have been a few other candidates for SEC honours after the win. Running back Quinshon Judkins rushed for over 100 yards and had 3 TDs.
Also, i believe Trey Washington had another excellent game, coming off his 2 interception game against Vanderbilt.
Ole Miss will need some more excellent performances this weekend, as they look to topple the current college football champions Georgia. It will take everybody if they want to come away from Athens with a win.
As for now, the players who scooped SEC weekly honours for this weekends game, can be proud of their performances.
