It’s one of the biggest weeks in recent times for Ole Miss Football. Sitting at 8-1, the Rebels have a chance to shake everything up with a win on Saturday. However, it’s against one of the best teams in recent times, the current college football champions, Georgia.

We are still days away from one of the biggest games in Ole Miss Football history. A win against Georgia on Saturday will give the CFP committee something to ponder next week.

Most of the talk is about what number 9 ranked Ole Miss can achieve, what a huge challenge it is to try topple the number 1 ranked Bulldogs.

This Georgia team is no joke, they are back-to-back college champions and on a 26 game winning streak. So, why would they be worried about Ole Miss?

Well, aside from the Alabama game, the Rebels have put together some of their best performances under Lane Kiffin. The run game has been electric over the last 5 games, something that Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has noticed.

The Bulldogs could not contain Missouri running back Cody Schrader last weekend, while also struggling in the first half with runs from QB Brady Cook.

In mine and many others opinion, this Ole Miss offense, when in tune, is one of the best in the country and Smart knows that. In his presser this week, he praised Jaxson Dart and the running back room.

Smart also mentioned how tough of a schedule the Rebels have faced so far and how impressed he was with how they have navigated it.

Georgia haven’t been convincing this season. However, they are getting the job done by whatever means necessary. With that being said, Georgia will be worried on Saturday, despite having home field advantage.

That doesn’t mean they don’t believe in themselves getting the win. They just know, anything less than an excellent performance could be punished by the Rebels.
