Ole Miss Football: Bold predictions vs ULM Warhawks
With only two regular-season games left for Ole Miss, it doesn’t give us much time to nail some bold predictions. Can we get one right in the Louisiana-Monroe game?
Ole Miss to register 70+ points
The last time these two teams met in 2018, Ole Miss had a 70-point game against their opponents. Can they make it 80 this time around?
In their eight losses, the Warhawks have averaged 38.1 points against them. They have also had three teams score 45+ points, with one of them being another SEC team in Texas A&M.
The Rebels scored 73 points in their opening season win over Mercer. When their offense is rolling, it’s hard to stop. It’s a bold prediction that isn’t too far out of reach for Ole Miss.
Judkins and Bentley both have 150 rushing yards each
Take away the Georgia game, Quinshon Judkins and Ulysses Bentley IV have been playing high-level football. Judkins has 868 rushing yards this season, with Bentley supporting with 411 rushing yards.
Judkins has only had one 150+ rushing yard game but has a handful of 100+ yard games. Bentley hasn’t surpassed 100 rushing yards in a game.
If Judkins gets on a tear early he could easily reach the bold prediction milestone. Then Bentley would see more snaps, with him capable of also reaching it. Another achievable prediction is if both get enough time on the field.
Two defensive touchdowns
They have also fumbled the ball 12 times, losing five of them. The Rebels defense had 11 interceptions and recovered four fumbles. With both stats combined, it feels like Ole Miss can get a few turnovers against ULM.
As bold predictions go, it looks achievable. However, getting the turnovers is tough, and scoring from them is even tougher.
