The Reese’s Senior Bowl invites have been rolling out, with several college players accepting them over the last two weeks. The Rebels had several players on the watchlist at the start of the season. Which of them could get an invite to Mobile this coming February?

Cedric Johnson Jr, Defensive End

Cedric Johnson has been one of the most disruptive defensive linemen for Ole Miss this season and in his four seasons in college. The big defensive end has 5.5 sacks this season, taking his college total to 19 in four seasons.

Johnson made Bruce Feldman’s Freak’s list, ranked number 49, with numerous stand-out performances with strength and speed.

Some good defensive ends made the watchlist, but Cedric Johnson is near the top of the list. It would be a surprise if he didn’t get an invite to the Senior Bowl.

John Saunders Jr, Defensive Back

John Saunders Jr is in his first season with Ole Miss after transferring from Miami(OH). Saunders has shown leadership skills for the Rebels in a defense that is going through a transition.

Saunders has three interceptions on the season and 55 total tackles. He is an aggressive player who has transitioned well from cornerback to safety for the Rebels.

The senior has a chance of getting an invite, especially on his performances this season.

Tre Harris, Wide Receiver

Harris missed a few games near the start of this season after transferring in from Louisiana Tech. However, when he has started he has performed very well.

Harris has 824 receiving yards from 44 catches, with eight touchdowns, all in eight and a quarter games. Harris has had three 100-yard games this season, on top of a monster 213-yard game against Texas A&M.

The 6’3 wide receiver has showcased some great plays this season, in dominating fashion at times. NFL scouts will love his size and his playmaking ability. If you look at past receivers that have been invited to the Senior Bowl, Harris ticks a lot of those boxes.
