It’s a few days away from Thanksgiving, with Ole Miss fans spreading Hotty Toddy cheer as the football season nears a close. In a time where we give thanks, what should Rebel fans be thankful for in 2023?

Lane Kiffin

Lane Kiffin is one of the best coaches in college football. When a new job vacancy becomes available, his name is tossed around in the media. However, when Kiffin was linked with the Auburn job last season, he was loyal to the cause at Ole Miss.

With two games to go in his fourth season as Ole Miss head coach, Kiffin has a record of 32-15. He has reached bowl games in all four seasons, and in the 2021 season, the Rebels ranked 11 in the nation.

With a win against Mississippi State and a Bowl game win, it would be his best season to date, finishing on 11 wins.

Kiffin is moving the team in the right direction. He has an excellent ability to identify talent in the transfer portal. He also has the ability to recruit high-level players despite not having the funds other SEC teams have to help in that area.

On top of all that, his social media game is strong. It could have been much worse for Ole Miss fans if Kiffin wasn’t head coach. I believe a high majority of fans are thankful we have coach Kiffin.

Hotty Toddy

Ole Miss fans have to be thankful for, well ourselves. Hotty Toddy have been unbelievable, selling out nearly every home game this season. Lane Kiffin has mentioned numerous times how proud he is of the fans.

The big one was the home game against LSU. The crowd were loud, making it a very hostile environment in the win. Also against Texas A&M, they potentially played a big part in the missed field goal in the final seconds for the Aggies to tie the game.

The support we show on the field as well as off it is immaculate. As Ole Miss fans, we back the players, the coaches and each other. One of the best fanbases in college football.
