Raleek Brown

USC wide receiver Raleek Brown was a big name to enter the transfer portal this week. Brown was a 247sports 4-star recruit from the 2022 recruitment class, but not as a wide receiver. The California native was the number three running back behind Nick Singleton and Emmanuel Henderson.

Despite a steady freshman season, Brown made a position change from running back to wide receiver in the spring of 2023 after a conversation with head coach Lincoln Riley. Brown finished his first season with 42 carries for 227 yards, 16 receptions for 175 yards and six touchdowns.

Brown dealt with a lingering hamstring injury during the 2023 season, resulting in him redshirting. He had just three receptions for 18 yards, two of them coming in the loss to Washington in early November.

Brown is 5-foot-8 and weighs 185 pounds, not something Kiffin usually brings to the team at running back. However, Kiffin could utilize the speedster in many different roles, something it seems Brown would be interested in.

This is not a likely transfer portal get for Kiffin, but I’m sure it is a player he would love to have on the Ole Miss roster. Somebody who can make big-time plays in different areas of the field.
