Ole Miss made it three commitments from the transfer portal earlier today, with Illinois DB Taz Nicholson announcing his commitment to the Rebels. Could we see three more players on the verge of commitments to Ole Miss in the coming weeks?

Lane Kiffin has been working the portal since it opened on Monday. Ole Miss landed the best transfer from JUCO in Deion Smith and the best linebacker from the transfer portal in Chris Paul Jr., per On3. The addition of Taz Nicholson is another pick-up from the transfer portal.

With more visits planned and crystal ball predictions in via recruiting sites, could we see three more commitments to Ole Miss in the coming weeks?

Gerquan Scott

Southern Miss offensive tackle Gerquan Scott is down to Ole Miss and Auburn for his next destination. Scott finished up his visit with the Tigers yesterday and has now shut down his further visits.

It may seem like a negative for the Rebels. However, Scott has said he was impressed by his visits to Ole Miss and Auburn. Scott will take a few days to make his decision before announcing where he will commit to.

Scott played most of his three seasons at left guard while playing snaps at centre and right guard.

Kiffin could sell the fact that Ole Miss have a top-tier QB playing behind the line in 2024, while also having one of the best running backs in college football. Ole Miss desperately need offensive line help, with inconsistencies throughout the season. Scott would be a great start in shoring up the line.
