2024 12-team College Football Playoff rankings prediction after Week 12
We are in the nitty-gritty of the college football season, where the top teams start to make their statements. Georgia had the chance to do that after their Week 11 loss to Ole Miss, and a few other teams were looking to keep their playoff hopes alive. in Week 12.
2024 College Football Playoff Predictions after Week 12
Three of my top 12 from Week 11 in Indiana, Miami, and Ole Miss all had their final bye weeks of the season in Week 12. Would any of the other nine slip down the rankings this week?

Georgia handles business to put them back in the playoff mix
The big question heading into week 12 was whether Georgia could bounce back against top-ten Tennessee after their Week 11 loss to Ole Miss. After a stuttering start, they handled their business and returned to the playoff picture. Tennessee dropped out despite losing just two games. They will need favors from others to win their final two games and get back in.
This week's big move in my rankings was a new Big 12 Champion. BYU lost their first game of the season but is starting to look less and less like a playoff team. Colorado is looking strong, but there is another team playing well. Arizona State is flying under the radar, beating Kansas State on Saturday and heading into a crunch game against BYU in Week 13.
Ohio State and Penn State handled their opponents as expected. However, Oregon had to dig deep to get a tough road win against Wisconsin. I still have Ohio State as the Big Ten Champion, as they would beat the Ducks on a neutral field.
Alabama, Ole Miss, and Georgia are ranked in that order, different from the AP Poll, and I could flip the Rebels over the Crimson Tide. Both have a win over Georgia, with Ole Miss looking more convincing. However, Bama dominated LSU, while the Rebs lost, both playing in Baton Rouge. Both teams have played their best football in these last few games.
Boise State continues to be the leading Group of 5 tea, beating San Jose State. However, one slip-up and Army and Tulane are ready to pounce.
