The 2025 WNBA Draft gets underway tonight in New York. UConn guard Paige Bueckers looks like the consensus No.1 pick to the Dallas Wings.
Some good players are in the draft, such as Notre Dame's Sonia Citron, and European players, such as France's Dominique Malonga and Sloevnia's Ajsa Sivka. However, it's not as strong as last year's draft.
Ole Miss forward Madison Scott looks likely to be selected and is expected to be in the second round. She would join Marquesha Davis, drafted in the first round in 2024, in the league. Many thought Davis would be a second-round selection, but sneaked into the first round, heading to the New York Liberty.
Scott has been mocked in the second round by numerous mock drafts. CFN had her going with pick 21 to the Los Angeles Sparks. The forward will be in New York as she accepted her invitation to the draft, so they are confident she will be selected. She Got Game spoke about what Scott brings to the por level.
