Ole Miss may only have two commitments from the 2026 class, but they could be closing in on several more over the months of spring.

The Rebels have made the final lists for several top quarterbacks from the next recruitment class. Landon Duckworth and Kane Archer have Ole Miss in their final schools they are considering.

Another quarterback has dropped his final schools, with Lane Kiffin's team making his final five.

Gavin Sidawar, a four-star prospect, dropped his final five today. Iowa, Missouri, Ole Miss, Syracuse, and UCLA are all teams Sidwar is set to consider.

Sidwar is ranked the No.7 prospect out of Pennsylvania, per 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is also the No.18 ranked quarterback and No.268 player nationally.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder decommitted from Rutgers in October 2024. Speaking to On3 recently, he talked about Syracuse as a program that interests him.

"Syracuse said to come up any time I want. I’ll get up there. They just opened a new football facility so I want to see it."

Lane Kiffin looks to be going in heavy on a quarterback this cycle, having not had a commit in 2025. They do have Austin Simmons and AJ Maddox, with Simmons likely to start for the next two seasons before he heads to the next stage of his career.

Kiffin sits in a good spot with three top quarterbacks in the 2026 class, with Ole Miss as a contender. However, he will need to get it right, not hyperfocusing on one player, not hitting, and missing out on the other two.

Ole Miss has not given up on five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons, with his high-school wide receiver and friend already committing to the Rebels. It's a long shot, but they do have a sniff.

If they manage to get a commitment from one of the four, it will be satisfying, whoever it is.
