De'Zhaun Stribling going as the first prospect in Round 2 made a complete joke out of every draft board mocking him as a late Friday, or early Saturday pick.
The San Francisco 49ers made so clear by picking Stribling as their first pick in 2026 NFL Draft.
4 remaining Ole Miss players expected to make a splash on Day 3
DL Zxavian Harris, OT Diego Pounds, WR Harrison Wallace III, and TE Dae’Quan Wright are the remaining top names from the Sip who are waiting for their names to be called on Saturday after their appearance at the NFL Combine.
Others like S Kapena Gushiken, Logan Diggs, Jayden Williams, Wydett Williams Jr., and Andrew Jones are also there, but the ones invited to Indy most certainly have a draft stock mocked higher than the others.
It's worth keeping an eye on the fact that just like Stribling, the rest of the Ole Miss players are also severely underrated, almost considered a Round 7 pick.
They have their shortcomings, sure, and several of them didn't even outperform themselves at the Combine like Stribling, but the NFL teams have made it clear that they value strengths over the weaknesses every Draft expert has been citing to rank all of them this low.
There is a chance some of them still go to Round 7, but given the strengths Harris, Pounds, Wallace III and Wright possess, there would be some teams prepared to steal them early on Saturday.
Wright's selection at No. 33 has set the tone for the remaining Rebels. And now, especially on Day 3, any or all of them going off the board as early as Round 5 will hardly come as a surprise.
