Lane Kiffin hardly ever stops being classic Kiffin, even when it is in the middle of a neck-to-neck 21-20 at halftime thriller of a match against Georgia.
As Georgia and Ole Miss battle it out in a tight game at halftime, Kiffin found the perfect chance to answer a troll Kirby Smart made on the Pat McAfee Show on gameday eve.
In a tweet going viral on social media, the Rebels head coach appears to be saying, "I was clapping," following Ole Miss's timeout to ice the kicker.
Just that, instead of a fiasco this time, it resulted in a light-hearted moment between the referee and Kiffin. Something similar happened last week in Georgia's game and it resulted in a whole debate in college football.
Does Lane Kiffin say, “I was clapping” here after his timeout to ice the kicker?

McAfee had jokingly asked Smart about the whole 'timeout or no timeout' fiasco at The Plains last week, saying, "Have you taught Lane Kiffin how to clap with a timeout signal?"
After laughing at the question, Smart responded: “Absolutely not.”
“I told him, do you read my lips? No human being ever calls a timeout where’s he’s saying ‘they’re clapping. They’re clapping. They’re clapping,'” Smart recalled. “I’m repeatedly saying that with my lips, and he said ‘I don’t care about your lips. Read my lips. They’re clapping. They’re clapping. They’re clapping.
“In my brain, when I’m saying they’re clapping… read my lips. Read my lips. I don’t know any coach that ever has tried to call a timeout without saying the word timeout. They’re clapping, they’re clapping. But Lane has loved that.”
None of it sat right with Kiffin. And halftime gave him a perfect opportunity to aim the troll back at Smart.
The Bulldogs head coach should be on the lookout for atleast a few more jabs l;ike that given how much he trolled Kiffin on The Pat McAfee show.
If anything, it just makes the already thrilling Ole Miss-Georgia more exciting.
