We have seen three Ole Miss players selected by media analysts in the first round of NFL mock drafts. Walter Nolen, Princely Umanmielen, and Trey Amos are the three names, but one CBS analyst selected one we have not yet seen in the first round.
CBS's Mike Renner had Jared Ivey being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with pick 31 of the first round. It's the first time we have seen Ivey in the first round, who is a talented edge player for Ole Miss and Georgia Tech previously.
""Jared Ivey is the kind of jumbo defensive end whom Steve Spagnuolo loves. He can easily reduce down in obvious passing situations and rush against guards and centers. Ivey had a massive breakout campaign after consistently flashing high-end ability his first four seasons.""Mike Renner
Jared Ivey finished the 2024 season with 42 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He had 17.5 career sacks, 12.5 of those with the Rebels in two seasons.
Walter Nolen was selected by the Houston Texans
One name that constantly gets drafted in the first round is Walter Nolen, with Mike Renner sending him to Houston.
It would be scary to think of Walter Nolen attacking from the inside and the No.3 pick in the 2023 draft, Will Anderson Jr., attacking from the outside.
Nolen has been drafted to various teams in the first round of mock drafts, including the Philadelphia Eagles. He looks to be cemented as a first pick at this year's draft and will also head to the Senior Bowl at the end of January with Ivey.
