No. 5 Ole Miss vs. No. 8 Georgia is kind of the game that keeps everyone guessing. Both teams have plenty of reasons to win against the other: roster, head coaches, this season's record, you name it.
Overall, however, Georgia is a 7.5-point favorite to defeat Ole Miss.
But CBS Sports' Tom Fornelli picked Ole Miss to win in his prediction for a peculiar reason. The Rebels might outdo the Bulldogs because Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss is less flawed than Georgia QB Gunner Stockton.
That isn't to say that Stockton is a terrible quarterback, but Chambliss has been better at handling the Rebels' offense than Stockton has at Georgia.
"These are two teams I don't have much confidence in this year, which makes it somewhat amusing that they're both ranked in the top 10. In truth, it comes down to the fact that I don't trust either quarterback much," Fornelli wrote.
His reason for calling Chambliss quite unimpressive was his stunning record have come against defenses that are rather not upto the elite standard.
"I know Trinidad Chambliss has been a pleasant surprise, but the best defense he's faced was LSU, and it was his worst performance. I know he threw for 314 yards, but that was more volume-based, seeing as how he threw the ball 39 times and hasn't thrown it more than 29 times in any other game."

But Stockton's struggle has been worse, mainly because the Bulldogs' offensive struggles, mainly along the line of scrimmage, have been the rock holding the team back this season.
"That said, I like Chambliss more than I do Gunner Stockton! I'm on the record with my belief that the Bulldogs aren't nearly as good along the lines of scrimmage as we're used to, which makes having a plucky, game-manager type at QB much more of a detriment than it has in years past. I also think Stockton is a major reason we've seen Georgia get off to slow starts in games, and that's what I'm leaning into here."
That's pretty brutal for a QB, but Stockton's inefficiency in performing under pressure, especially in deep balls and vertical passes, has been evident.
Ole Miss's defense definitely has had its flaws, but holding off an offense with these many stuglles won't be unachievable for Pete Golding's complex blitzes.
Only thing remaining to see is how well Kirby Smart has patched up his offense to sustain Ole Miss on Oct. 18.
