Ole Miss women's basketball head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has no problems convincing transfer portal players to commit to the Rebels. Coach Yo has added five players, the latest a top player from the Big Ten conference.
Ohio State's Cotie McMahon has committed to Ole Miss, one of the best players in the portal. McMahon averaged 16.5 ppg and 4.7 rpg this past season, and On3 analyst Talia Goodman was hyped about the move, posting on social media, "Really good fit for McMahon, in my opinion. Ole Miss is looking dangerous."

It comes 48 hours after they added freshman Tianna Thompson, who transferred from Georgia Tech. Thompson was a top-100 transfer, and despite not seeing lots of game minutes in the 2024-25 season, she is an exciting prospect.
Latasha Lattimore, Jayla Murray, and Kaitlin Peterson all transferred on the same day, March 30, a fanatic start to the portal. Peterson, who transferred in from UCF, finished the season averaging 21.4 points per game. This means that Coach Yo has added two high-scoring players.
Coach Yo needed a good transfer portal with plenty of players burning their eligibility. Experienced players like Madison Scott won't be on the court next season. However, they will have one talented second-year player, Sira Thienou, who was a revelation for the Rebels as a freshman.
McPhee-McCuin spoke about utilizing the transfer portal more after the Thompson announcement.
"The next step for us is to be able to do the same in the portal, because freshmen ain't doing it, I'm just telling you. So we have to be able to have the support to be able to go and get what we need so that we can move forward."Yolett McPhee-McCuin
The roster is starting to round out for the Ole Miss Rebels roster, with more set to come for Coach Yo. Will it be a roster that can make the next step again?
