With the rumors of Lane Kiffin to Florida reaching new heights, the Ole Miss head coach sat his players down last week and addressed the rumors.

And the Rebels star TE Dae'Quan Wright had gathered one thing from it: "Lane Kiffin ain’t going nowhere man."

"We just know it's like social media. The media is just crazy nowadays. People say anything, they try to bring distractions and do all that but us being adults and knowing what will be going on and how people make up their own stuff. We all block that out. It would be kind of easy, though," Wright further said on the Locked On Ole Miss podcast.

Wright has been around for quite a while as a senior, and rumors like these are nothing new for him. For the past few years, Kiffin's name has been flashing across lists for whenever a new head coaching vacancy pops up.

Wright knows the noise, however much stronger it might be this time, is not going to influence Kiffin's decision.

"I am never going to make a decision over money, nor do I care about it," Kiffin said when asked about the various coaching rumors he is in during The Pat McAfee Show. The statement from the Rebels head coach shows where he has his priorities sorted.

Kiffin has led Ole Miss to be in a place they were striving to be ever since he joined the program: the college football playoffs.

If the Rebels win all remaining games on their schedule, which seems doable given they are the favorites to win, they will have a sure-shot seat as an SEC team in the college football playoffs.

A national championship might also be just around the corner for the Rebels in the upcoming years, if not this season.
