It's Ole Miss vs. Georgia week, and Eli Manning had what perhaps is the hottest take on it's outcome.

With Kiffin gone, the Mannings are back reconnecting with their alma mater, and the Rebel Nation is loving every single bit of it.

The Ole Miss legend Eli Manning's take on who will come out swinging in the Sugar Bowl quarterfinal ought to be the latest addition to that list.

“Ole Miss and Georgia played earlier in the year,” Eli said. “It was a shootout, back and forth. But my Rebels are going to pull off the win. They’re going to get it."

That was the part the Ole Miss fans could have predicted. But Eli's take on the Rebels' future was the ultimate rallying cry fans needed to start believing in Ole Miss's shot at the National Championship.

“Going to the finals, going to the championship, Indiana and Ole Miss. That’s what everybody thought it was going to be in the championship at the beginning of the season. Everybody was predicting it. Here it is, Ole Miss, national champs. Let’s go.”

Eli and Archie Manning despised Lane Kiffin

The vocal excitement from the Mississippi legends is a direct result of Lane Kiffin leaving.

For several reasons, the family just hated the 50-year-old.

“I think we’re going to do great in the playoffs without our narcissistic, jerk coach,” Archie said in a viral video earlier this month. “I sure hope so.”

Even Eli had a flying shot at Kiffin with a veiled “Oops!” to a tweet reporting “Lane Kiffin’s introductory press conference at LSU included a claim that an Ole Miss fan tried to run him off the road on the way to the airport.”

The Mannings' restored confidence in Ole Miss is clear as day, and the Rebels fans should expect to see more pep talk from them as Golding's squad continues to advance in the bracket.
