Five-star Auburn commit Deuce Knight visiting Ole Miss for the Egg Bowl
Ole Miss currently ranks No.17 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and is eyeing a top-15 class. One recruit they continue to push for is five-star quarterback Deuce Knight, who is currently committed to Auburn.
On3 Vice President Steve Wiltfong and OMSpirir recruiting analyst Zach Berry have reported that Knight is in Oxford today for the Egg Bowl. One last push from Lane Kiffin to land a flip commitment from the in-state talent.
Ole Miss in pole position to flip Deuce Knight
Deuce Knight was in Auburn last week when the team won in 4OT against Texas A&M. However, after visiting Oxford after the Georgia game, the Rebels will get another crack at convincing Knight to stay home.
Ranked the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 class per On3, Knight has been committed to Notre Dame and Auburn during his cycle. However, he seems torn between playing under Lane Kiffin and Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze.
Kiffin could be in pole position to flip Knight's commitment with the George County High School prospect in Oxford today. Knight was at the home game against Georgia, seen rushing the field after the win. The atmosphere may not reach that level, but it will be close as the Egg Bowl is a heated rivalry.
The Rebels do not have a quarterback commit in the 2025 class, but they do have redshirt freshman Austin Simmons, who has impressed in the small amounts he has been on the field. Simmons was part of the 2023 recruiting class but reclassified from the 2025 class.
The Egg Bowl is being used as a big recruitment push with several top targets from the 2025 class and onwards at the game. Hopefully, Deuce Knight will be one of many to commit to Ole Miss as early signing day approaches..
