It's NFL Wildcard Weekend, and Ole Miss has several former players playing. A.J. Brown, Laremy Tunsil, and Dawson Knox are just a few, but one name you may not remember is Deane Leonard.

The cornerback is currently on the Los Angeles Chargers roster but has been bumped up the depth chart due to injuries.

Leonard looks to take the chances granted to him, making a big play in the weekend's first NFL Wildcard Playoff game. During the game against the Houston Texans, Leonard intercepted quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The Chargers were up 6-0 when Stroud threw the ball out to the left with no Texans wide receiver around. Leonard watched the ball carefully, and although he was close to the sideline, he managed to get both feet down to intercept the No.2 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Leonard, who transferred from the University of Calgary in Canada, spent two seasons with Ole Miss from 2020-2021. During that time, he finished with 64 tackles and 12 pass breakups.

The Chargers drafted him in the seventh round of the 2022 draft. Houston led Los Angeles 10-6 at halftime of the NFL Wildcard game.
