The NFL Wildcard games started this past weekend, with several former Ole Miss players on display. One of the biggest names who played for the Rebels was wide receiver A.J. Brown, who now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Brown was caught by the cameras doing something most would not have guessed on the sideline during the Eagles game against the Green Bay Packers.
Fans quickly suggested that Brown read the book to mock the opposition or because he only had one reception during the game. In fact, he has been doing it for some time; it was just the first time the media had caught it on camera.
So, what book was he reading? According to the FOX Broadcast, it's called "Inner Excellence" by Jim Murphy. Brown said the book helps him with various things, including the mental side of the game, while also bringing him peace.
Seven time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady impressed with A.J. Brown
As mentioned, A.J. Brown had just one reception for ten receiving yards. However, legendary quarterback Tom Brady had plenty of praise for the former Ole Miss wide receiver.
""There is a difference between a star and a champion, and champions do whatever it takes to win.""Tom Brady on A.J. Brown
Despite low production in the game, Brown has 67 receptions for 1,079 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season. It's his third consecutive 1,000-yard season and his fifth in six seasons.
The Eagles will face the winner of the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round, who play tonight.
