The off-season moves are starting to happen in the NFL, with a former Ole Miss alumn potentially on the move.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has requested a trade from the team, having spent six seasons with the organization.
NFL's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero both reported that Metcalf had requested a trade, and the team decided to explore it.

There is likely to be significant interest in the Seattle star, and both sides will dig into it. A big-time WR who may be on the move. pic.twitter.com/5U40T159EX
Metcalf was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft at the No.64 pick by current GM John Schneider and former head coach Pete Carroll. However, after the latter was moved on, former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald took the head coaching job.
There have been rumors that Seattle wanted to move on from Metcalf during the season and prior. However, Metcalf has made the first move, with plenty of teams likely to be interested in the 27-year-old.
The big-bodied receiver had 900+ receiving yards in every season, including three 1,000-yard ones. He also totaled 48 touchdowns but fumbled the ball 9 times over the six seasons.
His wide receiver teammate at Seattle, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, took to social media to react to the news. It was short but perfectly summed up what most fans were thinking.
Ayooo wtf

Metcalf and veteran Tyler Lockett look to be heading out the door, leaving just Smith-Njigba from the starting three. Could another Ole Miss wide receiver, Tre Harris, be an option for the Seahawks?
Metcalf had three seasons with his home state Rebels but struggled with injuries for the most part. His best season came in 2017, with 646 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He was born in Oxford, so Ole Miss seemed to be the only option for DK, following his father, Terrence Metcalf, in wearing the famous jersey.
