Ole Miss tight end Dae'Quan Wright was one of the five Rebels players who are attending Indianapolis this season.

On Friday after his media interviews, Wright went on with his measurements but skipped the time-speed drills, including the 40-yard dash. He is most likelysaving it for Ole Miss Pro Day, where he will run it on a much more familiar track.

Other than that, the 6'4", 246-pounder scored a 76 total score, the best among TEs in 2026 NFL Combine.

NFL analyst Lance Zierlein gave him a 5.99 on his rating scale, meaning he could be an average backup or special teams member in 2026.

Lance Zierlein's scouting report on De'Zhaun Stribling

"Wright is a high-cut, tight-hipped tight end who can stretch the field vertically but lacks fluidity and bend for crisp route breaks from speed. He builds speed to threaten defenses, working the vertical limbs of the route tree. He can gain an advantage on linebackers when aligned outside. He’s big and strong enough to improve as a run blocker but needs better technique and commitment in that are," Zierlein wrote.

Strengths

  • Hits man coverage with tempo changes to create space.
  • Builds speed to threatening levels down the seam.
  • Manipulates coverage with aggressive fakes at the stem.
  • Instinctive in finding openings and opportunities in space.
  • Locates safety and adjusts accordingly when working downfield.
  • Searches for yards after catch and will find them.
  • Adjusts in space and lands as a move blocker.

Weaknesses

  • Doesn’t fight hard enough to clear clingy coverage.
  • Clunky getting in and out of intermediate breaks.
  • Inconsistent use of frame to box out defenders.
  • Labors adjusting to low and back-hip throws.
  • Run-blocking technique at the point is below average.
  • Needs to become more consistently competitive as a blocker.

NFL Draft projection

All the top draft boards have Wright as a Day 3 or Day 4 pick, going as a No. 3 or No. 4 TE off the board.
