The latest developments in the coaching carousel may suggest that Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin is indeed staying put in Oxford and ignoring all the coaching rumors.
But, On3 analyst J.D. Pickell has a reason that Kiffin would like the sound of for considering the LSU job.
While it isn't exactly a reason to convince Kiffin to consider LSU, but rather more of an ironic understatement, it would be enough to get his attention.
"Outside of wanting to go to put your daughter's boyfriend in Whit Weeks, though, conditioning and just make him have a difficult life in general during fall camp. Outside of that, I would make sure I give him a difficult time in general on the field and Ole Miss keep rolling with Kiffin," Pickell said on his podcast.
"I wouldn't try to be happier than happy. I would say give me what I need here at Ole Miss. If you're smart about it and give Lane Kiffin what he needs at Ole Miss, he's earned it. And say we're winning right now. Why would I leave? We are beating these teams that were going to end up having to play down the stretch here, with Florida at least being one of those teams."

"If LSU played Ole Miss tomorrow, Ole Miss would probably be a double-digit point favorite, given what's going out there in Baton Rouge. Ole Miss is rolling, and it's because Kiffin built it, and I don't think there's any reason to leave at this point in time."
Kiffin has been quite tense with his daughter Landry's boyfriend, Whit Weeks, and it has been evident from the pointed barbs he has thrown his way ever since they announced their relationship just days before Ole Miss was set to face LSU.
Given the online insults he has thrown Weeks' way, the reason would sure be something Kiffin gives a thought even if he is not considering any other jobs.
