Ole Miss Rebels 34-26 win over Oklahoma might be a core highlight of their season, but Lane Kiffin's spontaneous post-game shenanigans stole the show on Saturday morning in Norman.
The Sooners were the heavy odds-on favorite against Ole Miss because of their defense, and defensive tackle David Stone made it very clear to Kiffin.
That is why he kept on going to Kiffin on the sidelines and letting him know, loud enough for everyone to hear, how well OU's defense was holding up against Ole Miss's offense.
Fast forward to post-game, Kiffin pointed out how Stone had turned errily quite after the same Ole Miss offense put up more than 400 yards on the day.
"You’re a little quieter now than before," Kiffin said with a smirk. “This guy yelled at me during the game, like, five times how great they were and we can’t score on them.”
When asked about it in his post-game press conference, Kiffin explained how everything was spontaneous and felt right.
"That's just me. I didn't try to go find him after the game; he was just right there."

"That's just me. I mean, he was talking the whole game to me, and I did a good job, I felt, not talking back," Kiffin said in his post-game press conference.
"And he just kept going 'we're going to score' and all this. I didn't try to go find him after the game; he was just right there."
Keeping the trash-talking aside, the Ole Miss head coach also lauded the DL after OU's defense put up a good fight.
"Guy's a great player. You know, he's really enjoyable to coach."
The 34-26 win against OU puts Ole Miss at 7-1.
