Lee Corso has been a mainstay on the ESPN College GamedDay for over 40 years. That time is set to end as the 89-year-old announced he would be returning from the program in August. Corso will be part of the broadcast on August 30, where he will be in Week 1 in unknown.

Known for his famous headgear picks on Saturdays alongside some top celebrity pickers, there will be a hole left that many won't realize the magnitude of until he is not there this season. He was part of everybody on Saturday and was a joy to watch.

The announcement means that Ole Miss will have a 100% winning record when Corso picked Alabama to beat the Rebels. Twice, Corso put on the Crimson Tide mascot head 'Big Al, 'picking them to down Ole Miss. However, the Rebels beat Bama in the back-to-back years of 2014 and 2015.

Corso had a 60% record when picking Ole Miss games; his last time was in 2024 when the Rebels rolled into Athens to face Georgia. He chose the Bulldogs, who dominated Ole Miss. Out of the five games, he picked Ole Miss just once in 2021, having them over Texas A&M, which they won 29-19. In 2014, he also had LSU over Ole Miss, with the Tigers winning.

Lee Corso sent a beautiful message via ESPN about his time on ESPN College GameDay.

"My family and I will be forever indebted for the opportunity to be part of ESPN and College GameDay for nearly 40 years. I have a treasure of many friends, fond memories and some unusual experiences to take with me into retirement."

Lee Corso will be missed in Oxford, and we will never forget the time guest picker and Ole Miss adopted fan Katy Perry ripped off the Crimson Tide mascot from Corso's head and tossed it to the ground.
