It's Selection Sunday today for the NCAA Softball Tournament, and Ole Miss will have a keen eye on where they will be heading. The Rebels reached the quarter-final stage of the SEC Tournament after beating Missouri and Florida. However, Texas just edged them out, and a win could have given them a host spot.

The team enters Selection Sunday with the nation's No. 20 RPI, and with a strong strength of schedule, it might have been enough to host in previous seasons. Ole Miss will likely be a No. 2 seed, but where could they be heading?

Yahoo Sports - Tuscon

Yahoo Sports has Ole Miss heading to Tucson, where the No.1 seed would be Arizona, the No.3 seed would be Grand Canyon, and Delaware the No.4 seed. They would be paired with the Los Angeles Regional with the top seed being UCLA, and Ole Miss' rivals Mississippi State being the No.2 seed, No. 3 Georgia Tech, and No.4 Santa Clara.

The Oklahoman - Tuscon

The Oklahoman newspaper also believes Ole Miss will be heading to Tucson, but differs on the No.4 seed, believing it would be Santa Clara. If paired with the Los Angeles Regional, it would have California as the No.2 seed, then No.3 seed Nevada, and No.4 seed UC Santa Barbara.

Others have said they could end up in Los Angeles with the No.1 seed, UCLA. Wherever they go, they will be one of the feared teams, finishing the season 37-17, a solid record, seen as one of the strongest Southeastern Conference teams. It's their ninth consecutive tournament bid, and they have made it to the super regionals twice.

The Sunday Selection show starts at 6:00 p.m. CT and will be live on ESPN2. It can also be streamed on the ESPN app or ESPN+.
