March Madness is officially just around the corner, and this time, Oxford has one reason to be thrilled about it: potentially hosting a few games at The Pavilion.

NCAA released its mid-February early Top 16 seeds projections, and the Rebels seem like a lock for the postseason at No. 15 in the early bracket.

Despite coming off two consecutive losses, the most recent one being against No. 3-ranked South Carolina, Ole Miss would most likely still sit pretty in the final Sweet 16. Reason? Coach Yo's squad has already built a solid record to back it up.

That said, the margin of error from now is nearly zero, as they are sitting right on the edge. The loss against the Gamecocks on Sunday used up all the buffer they had.

UConn, UCLA, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt were projected as the No. 1 seeds, which means that the Gamecocks could once again be a serious threat to Ole Miss in terms of the SEC tournament.

ESPN's Charlie Creme predicts the Rebels could be as high as the No. 4 seed, meaning Oxford would have a chance to host the opening round of the postseason.

That is for March, though. For now, winning their final games against Florida, and the final one at home against Texas A&M are paramount for Coach Yo's squad.

The second reveal for the women's top 16 will be March 1 at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN.
