Chris Beard's squad crushed Auburn in a game that was a must-win for the Tigers to safeguard their position in the bracketology to qualify as the last four in.

The Rebels closed out the first half with an 8-0 run, leading 38-37 headed into halftime as Pinkins (11), AJ Storr (10), and Malik Dia (10), all scored in double digits in the first half.

Auburn put up a fight in the second period, quickly jumping out to a 48-40 lead with just over 17 minutes left to play.

However, Ole Miss came prepared to win today, no matter what. The Rebels fought back with an impressive run in the second half, and maintained their lead until the clock ran out.

Auburn Tigers have a way forward post Ole miss loss?

The win put a big question amrk on Auburn's chance at the Big Dance.

AL.com's Jerry Humphrey explains the very little margin for error Auburn has moving forward.

"The Tigers entered this game needing to win tonight to remain on the tournament bubble as a possible ‘Last Four In’ qualifying team," Humphrey said.

"Now, sitting at 15-14 overall and 6-10 in SEC play, Auburn will now have to win out its final two games of the regular season to make a fair case at an at large bid into the big dance."

Ole Miss also has two more chances at-home to add more wins to their regular season record.
