Ole Miss used their big game atmosphere on Saturday regarding recruitment. In front of a packed recruiting section, the Rebels dominated No.3 Georgia, resulting in impressed prospects.
Less than 24 hours after the game, recruiting experts had inputted predictions for two key flips, including Auburn cornerback Dante Core. Earlier, he announced that he would be flipping his commitment from the Tigers to Ole Miss.
The first recruiting domino falls from the Georgia game for Ole Miss
Three-star cornerback Dante Core was trending to flip his commitment from Auburn to Ole Miss, which happened early today. Core has been committed to the Tigers since May 18, but he saw enough in the atmosphere and the level of play to decide Oxford was home.
The Florida native was at the Georgia game on Saturday and was impressed by the atmosphere and the staff. Three predictions were inputted on Sunday for Core to flip, taking just 24 hours to announce the news himself.
Playing out of Choctawhatchee High School, Core is ranked the No. 57 cornerback and No. 77 player in Florida. He holds offers from Auburn, LSU, Missouri, Tennessee, and other top schools. However, it looks like Ole Miss won the race.
The commitment now moves Ole Miss into the top 20 of the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings, and they still need to be finished. Don't be surprised to see more roll-in over the next month before early signing day.
