The spring updates coming from Ole Miss have been incredibly promising, as Pete Golding prepares for a full season ahead. Their previous CFP appearance has set the bar that high, and the post-season SEC power rankings are signalling just that.

Where Ole Miss football ranks in ON3's SEC post-spring power rankings?

On3's Carin & Cone ranked Ole Miss as No. 4 in their SEC rankings.

"Ole Miss reached the playoff, lost its coach and kept winning. The team went all the way to the CFP semifinal and finds itself near the top of the SEC power rankings as a result of the job  did in keeping the roster in pretty good shape."

“I don’t want to say reach, I don’t want to say stretch, because you’re bringing back , you’re bringing back , we know you have pieces to compete. And Golding coached in the playoff, so it’s not like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. We’ll see what happens when he has a full season," Crain & Cone said.

The Rebels at No 4 were closely following behind the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 1, Texas and Texas A&M at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

From a school finding a break to put themselves on the SEC map to ranking as a Top 4 in SEC power rankings in the offseason shows just how much the Rebels have grown in just a few months under Pete Golding.

The narrative in Oxford is clear: a full season under Golding will put the Rebels on top of these rankings and potentially get them the CFP National Championship appearance they lost by a sliver in 2025.
