Ole Miss football recruiting news: JUCO Edge scheduled visit, four-star QB sets spring visit, and more

Ole Miss football is ready for a busy few months of recruiting.

As we head towards spring practice for college football teams, recruiting starts to heat up during the next few months.

We have started to see head coach Lane Kiffin start in-home visits, with several players organizing spring visits to Oxford. Below is the latest news regarding Ole Miss football recruiting.

JUCO edge Joshua Shanklin sets Ole Miss visit

A JUCO edge with immediate eligibility has scheduled a visit to Ole Miss for April 18-20. Joshua Shanklin came out of high school in the class of 2025 and is now eligible to join a four-year university.

A California native from Foothill College, Arizona State, Utah, and UCLA are some other teams who have shown interest in the 6-foot-4, 220 Edge.

2027 Four-star quarterback sets spring visit

One of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class has set a visit to Oxford. Malachi Ziegler will visit the Ole Miss campus on April 19. He has already had several visits in 2024, including the win over Georgia.

Ziegler is rated the No.5 quarterback, the No.3 player out of Louisiana, and the No.47 overall player by 247Sports. Ziegler has Ole Miss very high on his list of schools.

Ole Miss offers No.6 ranked 2027 quarterback

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is going in heavy on the quarterback from the 2027 class, sending an offer to Keegan Croucher. The Connecticut native has already received offers from Michigan, Indiana, and Minnesota.

Top 2026 defensive backs to visit Ole Miss in March

247Sports No.11 ranked cornerback is set to visit Ole Miss on March 21. Out of Brownsville, TN, Caden Harris is the No.3 ranked player in the Volunteer State. It will be his fifth visit to Oxford.

Ole Miss send out numerous offers

Lane Kiffin and his staff have sent out several offers this past week. They include California running back Deshonne Redeaux, a four-star prospect from the 2026 class. They also offered in-state 2026 wide receiver Darrion Kirksey, who also picked up an offer from North Carolina.
