Ole Miss football scored another win on Monday against the antics of Lane Kiffin who walked out on the Rebels last Sunday.
Reportedly, Kiffin had threatened Ole Miss staffers to board the plane to Baton Rouge with him right there on Sunday, or they wouldn't have a spot on his staff at LSU. OC Charlie Weis Jr. boarded that plane, along with several other staffers.
Now, however, they are coming back to Oxford, thanks to Golding's efforts to retain their staff at least for Ole Miss's College Football Playoff run.
Four other former staff members join Ole Miss
The Ole Miss staff will look mostly the same as it was in the regular season heading into the College Football Playoff.
ESPN's Pete Thamel reported on Monday that four LSU assistant head coaches, who were also former Ole Miss assistant coaches, will be joining the Rebels back during the College Football Playoff run.
"Sources: Four current LSU offensive assistants are joining OC Charlie Weis Jr. at Ole Miss to prepare the team for the CFP run. TE coach Joe Cox, WR coach George McDonald, assistant QB coach Dane Stevens, and slot WR coach Sawyer Jordan all returned to Oxford this morning," Thamel wrote.

Golding's staff missing key assistant coaches in his staff was one of the primary concerns surrounding Ole Miss ahead of the CFP run.
It will also give Golding the necessary resources to allocate the play-calling duties for their rematch vs. Tulane as their first-round opponents.
Besides, there is still a chance that Weis Jr., and now the four other assistane coaches, decide to continue with Ole Miss in 2026.
Now all that remains to see is whether the Rebels feel Kiffin's absence vs. Tulane, or will they manage just fine without him.
