Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin put together a top 2025 recruiting class, including the No.1 wide receiver, Caleb Cunningham, a Mississippi native. The class also included four-star receiver Winston Watkins.
Kiffin has a knack for finding top receiver talent in recruiting classes, including the latest, Cayden Lee. The Ole Miss head coach is now looking at the 2026 crop, the next recruiting class.
On3 reported that one of the top 10 wide receivers is already looking to schedule a visit to Oxford and Tennessee. Joel Wyatt, a Tennessee native, is the No.10 ranked wide receiver and the No.2 player in the Volunteer State. He is also the No.70 ranked player in the nation, per On3.
Six other schools are showing interest in Wyatt, with Auburn, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.
Wyatt will visit his home state this weekend, and several recruiting analysts believe he will move up the rankings during the year. He is currently a star prospect; some have said he plays like a five-star player.
Ole Miss is not only chasing Wyatt; they also have another chance of recruiting a top wide receiver from in-state, a Hattiesburg native. Tristen Keys is the No.2 ranked wide receiver, per On3.
The No.12 ranked wide receiver is also a Mississippi native, Xavier McDonald. Lane Kiffin will likely net at least one of these players, maybe two. He will also likely have eyes on players who are not highly recruited but know they are better than recruiting sites believe they are.
