Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin looking to clean up the top-ranked 2025 Mississippi recruits
Ole Miss flipping five-star Alabama commit was a huge statement for the program. Keeping the No.1 ranked player in Mississippi at home. Now Lane Kiffin and his staff look to be targeting the No. 2 player in the state.
Kiffin is pushing to flip four-star Auburn commit Deuce Knight, the No. 6 quarterback in the 2025 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings.
Lane Kiffin visits Deuce Knight's High School
Deuce Knight was a surprise attendee in Oxford for last week's Georgia game. He was beside Caleb Cunningham on the sidelines, joining the fans rushing the field after the famous win.
With Cunningham flipping his commitment from Alabama to the Rebels, Kiffin looks to use that momentum from the game and from Cunningham's commitment to do the same with Auburn commit Knight.
On Thursday, Kiffin shared a social media post showing him at George County High School, where Knight plays his high school ball. The Ole Miss head coach makes the final push, heading to Knight's home to convince him that Oxford should be where he should be.
Adding the top two offensive players in Mississippi is a pivotal move for Kiffn. Recruiting top defensive talent from in-state has not been a problem; it's offensive recruits who have headed to other top programs.
There has been no news about how close or far Ole Miss is to flipping Knight, but Kiffin is doing everything he can to get a commitment. The Rebels have a talented Austin Simmons, who will likely be Dart's successor, but having Knight on the team learning would be perfect.
