Ole Miss pulled off the wildest CFP upset in the 2026 College Football Playoff of the season.
They even overcame some of the most terrible officiating this season to crush Georgia in an absolute 39-34 Sugar Bowl win.
The fourth quarter was what we call ultimate college football cinema, as the Rebels continued dominating Georgia, even when the horrible calls almost served the Sugar Bowl win to the Bulldogs on a silver platter.
Ole Miss has a bone to pick with the Refs
First was a clear facemask call that the officials somehow missed, costing Ole Miss what should have been an automatic first down.
How did the refs miss this facemask call??

That was the most obvious call ever.

If that wasn't enough to make the Big Ten refs an absolute joke, came the PI call. While they clearly overlooked a facemask, Ole Miss got flagged with a DPI with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter.

At this point, the Ole Miss fans were ready to storm the Superdome as the call almost robbed the Rebs of their Sugar Bowl win. Almost.
Thankfully, Ole Miss's massive, and histopric CFP win would diffuse some of the searing anger in the Rebel nation for now.
