Several Ole Miss players have announced they are declaring for the NFL draft in 2025 after waiting some time; quarterback Jaxson Dart has now confirmed he will be heading to the pros.
It was always known that Dart would be heading for the draft, using his four years of eligibility, three of which were with the Rebels. Yesterday, the senior took to social media to post a message to the Ole Miss fans, players, and coaches.
Dart attached a long message to his social media post, with the infinity sign placed after Rebel Nation, insinuating he will be a Rebel forever.
Jaxson Dart will head to the Senior Bowl in February
First, Jaxson Dart will play in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on January 2, one last chance to line up alongside some of his teammates and his friends against Duke. If he can help deliver another double-digit winning season, it would be a fitting end to his time with Ole Miss.
After that, he will prepare for the Reese's Senior Bowl, a college football all-star game and the first stage of the NFL Draft process. Dart accepted his invitation the same day he declared for the draft..
Dart joins some of the most talented quarterbacks heading for the NFL. Oregon's Dillon Gabriel, Ohio State's Will Howard, and Notre Dame's Riley Leonard have all accepted invites and will be in Mobile, Alabama, the week leading up to February 1.
We will start to learn where Jaxson Dart may be taken in the 2025 NFL draft, but it feels like he could be a day 2 pick, likely in the second round. However, a good showing at the Senior Bowl could propel him up the board.
