Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart finalist for "Academic Heisman"

Listening to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, his staff, and players, they all speak highly of quarterback Jaxson Dart. Not just on the field, away from the game, Dart is a leader who wants to pick people around him up and push them to the next level.

Dart has been recognized as a premier scholar-athlete in college football, along with 15 other finalists. The William V. Campbell Trophy will be awarded to one of those players, with Dart up alongside some stellar names in the nation.

Ole Miss's Jaxson Dart nominated for Campbell Trophy

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart was one of 16 players in the nation to be named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy. Dart was named alongside players such as Jalen Milroe, Dillon Gabriel, and Seth McLaughlin.

Players are nominated for their success on and off the field, combining academic success, football performance, and exemplary leadership. Each finalist will receive a $18,000 postgraduate scholarship.

Jaxson Dart has an impressive 3.71 GPA in Business. Anything above a 3.5 GPA is often considered outstanding. Two finalists ( Seth McLaughlin and Brayden Long) had perfect scores and received a 4.0 GPA.

The finalists were selected from a record number of 204 semifinalists nationwide. The winner of the Campbell Trophy will be announced on December 10 in Las Vegas. Past award winners include Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow, and Bo Nix in 2023.
