Ole Miss Rebels News: Softball punches super regional ticket, track and field medal rush, recruiting news & more

It's set to be a busy week on the diamond for Ole Miss baseball and softball, as they have big games in their respective tournaments, with the ladies making the Super Regionals for the third time in program history.

Recruiting seems to be quieting down, but there is still plenty of work behind the scenes for football and basketball. Also, rankings are beginning to drop ahead of the basketball season and post-spring football rankings.

Ole Miss softball punches Super Regionals ticket, will face SEC foe

Ole Miss softball secured its third-ever Super Regionals visit this past weekend, beating No. 13-ranked Arizona in the three-game series. The Rebels will face SEC rivals Arkansas in Fayetteville over the weekend, looking to make the final eight. They took the series over the Razorbacks in Oxford earlier in the season.

Track & field takes nine medals at the SEC Outdoor Championship

The Ole Miss track & field team took home nine medals and 19 individual scorers, earning a fifth-place finish at the SEC Outdoor Championship. It was the program's best finish since 2016, and they scored the most points outside since 2014.

No.1 ranked tight end has excellent Oxford visit

The 2026 No.1 ranked tight end was on the Ole Miss campus this past weekend, and he left impressed. Mark Bowman is a five-star talent, and the trip to Oxford was his first OV. Bowman spoke to On3 and said, "I just liked how they treated my whole family". The Rebels are battling top programs in Georgia, Texas, and USC, so they must pull out all the stops to earn a commitment.

Ole Miss baseball sees three All-SEC awards

Ole Miss baseball heads into the SEC Tournament with a first-round bye after earning the No.7 seed. They also had three players scoop All-SEC awards. Mason Moore earned 2nd team relief pitcher, Luke Hill also was an All-SEC 2nd team player at third base, with Hayden Federico making the All-SEC Freshman team. The Rebels will face either South Carolina or Florida in the second round on May 21.
