The way-too-early odds are in for the 2026 season, and they do not look as promising as Ole Miss fans would expect them to be after wrapping up a historic CFP appearance season.
As of Jan. 28, 2026, the Rebels' odds to make it to the national championship hang at +4500, per FanDuel.
A week ago, Ole Miss was a +5000 afterthought. Today, the needle is moving—but even at +3500, the Rebels can’t outrun the looming anxiety that plagues the Grove.
That said, Ole Miss is awaiting on something big, which, if works out, could possibly explode their championship odds through the ceiling.
Trinidad Chambliss hold up
Trinidad Chambliss's first court hearing in the lawsuit he filed against the NCAA is set for Feb. 12.
If the preliminary injunction is ruled in Chambliss's favor, the QB will get another year of eligibility, one that he has commited to Ole Miss.
Chambliss's unprecedented success as a DII transfer last season was a household story.
Given another chance, the QB will carve up the opponents' secondary and punch his ticket straight to the College Football Playoffs.

This makes Feb. 12 the watershed moment when Ole Miss secures the green light from the Mississippi court, and also the day their 2026 national championship odds finally crystallize.
Another year with Chambliss will silence a good part of doubts on Golding's 2026 squad.
The only hold up following Chambliss's much-discussed return would be if OC John Baker's schemes could live up to the standard Charlie Weis Jr. set at Oxford.
