Ole Miss sends an offer to brother of former record-breaking Rebels quarterback

Ole Miss has a history of success recruiting family members with bloodlines who have played for the Rebels.

The latest examples are the Maddox brothers, quarterback AJ, and defensive tackle Andrew. Lane Kiffin managed to get a commitment from Edge Princewill Umanmielen during the past winter transfer portal. It comes after his brother Princely spent a season with Ole Miss before heading to the 2025 NFL Draft.

The latest player with family ties is the brother of former quarterback Jaxson Dart. Ole Miss has offered his brother, wide receiver Diesel Dart, from the 2027 class.

Jaxson Dart has just declared for the NFL Draft after spending three seasons with Ole Miss. The Utah native played high school football at Corner Canyon and committed to USC from the 2021 class.

Diesel, who has yet to be rated on the recruiting sites, plays football at Corner Canyon like his older brother and has two more seasons in high school. The 6-foot-2 wideout reacted to the offer on his social media.

Jaxson Dart heading to the Senior Bowl

Jaxson Dart starts his Senior Bowl. This week, the first training session will be on Tuesday, with the big game on Saturday, February 1. He is among the best college quarterbacks heading to the NFL, along with Dillon Gabriel and Jalen Milroe.

The Reese's Senior Bowl executive director, Jim Nagy, had some big words about Jaxson Dart when it was announced that he had been invited.

"My phone probably pinged more when we announced him (Dart) than any other quarterback."

The Utah native is an intriguing prospect. Many analysts believe he could sneak into the first round and shoot up the draft boards.
