Ole Miss is reeling from two instate wide receivers entering the transfer portal. Ayden Williams was the first, but now first-year talent Noreel White has decided to look for new pastures.
White was part of the 2024 class. A former four-star recruit, he was one of several in-state prospects to commit to the Rebels. He had two receptions for 34 receiving yards, coming in garbage time of the opening two games.
High hopes were expected for White, with the chance he could have featured more in 2025 with the departure of several players in the wide receiver room. However, he believes his future is better suited at another program, unless Lane Kiffin can convince him to come back.
Will Ole Miss look to add more wide receivers from the portal?
Ole Miss has added three wide receivers from the transfer portal to compensate for what they lost. De'Zhaun Stribling, Caleb Odom, and Deuce Alexander transferred in, and Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, and potentially Antwane Wells look to be heading for the NFL.
Ole Miss could look to add more wide receivers but is likely content with what it has. The new players join junior Cayden Lee and three freshman players led by five-star Mississippi native Caleb Cunningham.
Lane Kiffin will actively look to add players as the team has lost more than it has gained, but the players who have been brought in are talented.
There are still plenty of names available in the portal, and Kiffin also has the spring portal, so there is no panicking just yet.
