Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris is the first player to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. Harris has been one of the best players in his position over the last two seasons with the Rebels, and he is set to be a high draft pick.
Ole Miss sends another top receiver to the NFL
The Rebels have successfully sent several wide receivers to the NFL over the last seven years, including A.J. Brown, DK Metcalf, and Elijah Moore. This year, Tre Harris is set to be another top two-round pick from the Ole Miss program.
Harris transferred to Ole Miss in 2023 and played two seasons under Lane Kiffin. Before his move to Oxford, Harris spent three seasons at Louisiana Tech, finishing with 101 receptions for 1,599 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
In his two seasons with the Rebels, Harris had 114 receptions for 2,015 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. The Lafayette, LA native surpassed 1,000 receiving yards this season while missing four full games and half of the Florida game.
Harris has excellent qualities that transition well to the next level. One skill that has wowed NFL scouts is his ability to dominate in contested catches. He is a real red zone threat for quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Finishing his fifth college season, Harris has been invited to the annual Reese's Senior Bowl, a post-season all-star game where draft-eligible players compete in front of NFL scouts. Harris has not accepted his invite, but we may see him do so now that he has declared.
Harris will be drafted along with some good wide receivers in next year's draft, including Missouri's Luther Burden III, who has also declared.
