Ole Miss Softball: Meet the new recruits from National Signing Day
Ole Miss Softball officially signed six players on National Signing Day, with the 2025 class another impressive bunch. Madi George, Madi Heine, Payton Kennedy, Addisyn Linton, Izzy Rettiger, and Kaidance Till will join the Rebels in 2025.
Head coach Jamie Trachsel was excited about the recruiting class she and the staff had brought to Oxford. Each player offered a mixture of talent to the team. Below are the six players Ole Miss softball signed.
Madi Georgia - First Base
Texas native Madi George hit over .500 in high school at Rouse, driving in 99 runs in three seasons. Honors in high school include Extra Innings Softball first-team All-American, third-team NFCA All-American in 2023, and named to All-State and All-regional teams.
Madi Heine - Catcher
The second Madi of the 2025 Ole Miss Softball recruiting class is catcher Madi Heine. Hailing from Georgia, Heine was the region's Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. A solid all-rounder, she hit 30 home runs last season.
Payton Kennedy - Pitcher/First Base
Ranked No. 25 in Extra Inning Softball's most recent Extra Elite 100, Payton Kennedy is an excellent pickup for Ole Miss. Southern California native Kennedy has scooped numerous awards through high school, including All-State, All-County, All-CIF, and All-Trinity League honors.
Addisyn Linton - Pitcher/Utility
Jumping across the border from Tennessee, Addisyn Linton is a talented two-way player and high-school All-American. In her junior season, Linton hit .617 with 21 home runs and 71 RBI while going 12-2 in the circle with 168 strikeouts. She also led her school, Eagleville, to a state title, the first for the Eagles in any sport for over 100 years.
Izzy Rettiger - Infield
Another Georgia recruit, Izzy Rettiger, is a three-time All-Region and two-time All-County performer and a career .455 hitter. The talented Buford High School player excelled in other sports, such as basketball, track and field, and flag football.
Kaidance Till - Infield
Middle infielder Kaidance Till hit over .500, driving in 133 runs, while hitting 23 home runs, 61 doubles, and six triples in her high school and club career. Representing Metamora Township High School, Tilt won three conference titles, three regional titles, and two sectional titles with the team. She was also named a first-team All-American by Extra Innings Softball.
