College football is near the halfway point of the regular season, but there are plenty of other Ole Miss sports at the height of their season and others gearing up for the start of theirs. Here is the latest news around Ole Miss from the last several days.
SEC Tipoff Media Days dates and times confirmed
The college basketball season is several weeks away, and both Ole Miss teams are in a good place. Head coaches Chris Beard and Yolett McPhee-McCuin will be heading to Birmingham, AL, alongside two players from each team for SEC Basketball Media Days. Below are the dates and times the Rebels coaches will be on the podium.

Ole Miss golfer Jackson Suber secures PGA Tour Card
Golfer Jackson Suber secured a 2025 PGA Tour Membership this past week. The Ole Miss alum finished No. 20 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, finalized after last week's Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. The top 30 finish means he was awarded a PGA Tour Card after falling short last year. We will look forward to watching his progress amongst the pros.
Ole Miss Volleyball lose to Texas A&M
Ole Miss Volleyball has started the season well, but they dropped the Texas A&M game 1-3 yesterday to slip to a 2-2 conference record. However, they are 12.4 on the season. The loss to the Aggies was their first with home-court advantage. Their next game is October 13 against Georgia in Athens.
Ole Miss Soccer heads into crunch game with Missouri
Ole Miss Soccer continues to struggle in conference play, still looking for its first win. The team will play at Missouri today, hoping to find something to kick-start its season. It sits at 0-5 in conference play after last week's loss to Texas. The Tigers have just one win themselves in SEC play, so it's a big game for both.
