Ole Miss saw the fourth offensive lineman hit the transfer portal today, but this one was expected. Starting tackle Micah Pettus has confirmed via his social media that he will indeed be entertaining the portal, sending out love to the Rebels community and fans.
Pettus, who started 11 games across the offensive line this season, is still weighing up his options. He is entering the transfer portal but is still considering declaring for the NFL draft.
In addition to the 11 games this season, he has appeared in 22 games across his four seasons with the Rebels, starting a total of 29 games. He is an experienced tackle who saw his form dip a little this season alongside several other offensive linemen.
Reported dismissal from the program for Micah Pettus
According to sources from 247Sports, Micah Pettus was removed from the Ole Miss roster, shortly after the Egg Bowl victory.
Pettus is one of five players from the offensive line room who have entered the transfer portal. However, he is the only one who has started numerous games for the Rebels. Cam East, Mana Taimani, Kavion Broussard, and Jack Mills were joined by Pettus in the portal.
Lane Kiffin has added two transfer offensive linemen, one of whom is Arkansas's top-ranked IOL, Patrick Kutas. They will be looking to add more players to complement the experience of tackles Diego Pounds and Jayden Williams, who they expect to stay for the 2025 season.
Whatever his decision, Pettus has been a loyal player for the Rebels, and we wish him the best at his next team or in the NFL.
