Ole Miss travels to San Diego, California, for the Rady Children's Invitational tournament. The Rebels face BYU on Thanksgiving Day, their first genuine season test. Both teams hold a 5-0 record coming into the game, so one team will lose their unbeaten start.

The Cougars are not ranked in the AP top 25 like the Rebels (No.23) but are a very talented team under head coach Kevin Young, who is in his first season with the program after Mark Pope left for the Kansas job.

Ole Miss is still finding itself, with several new faces on the roster. They have shown that they are talented when it clicks in periods of the game but have yet to have a complete performance in the first five. They will need to be on it against a BYU side that is in a similar boat. The Cougars have drifted through their first five games as expected but have not shown their best performances.

The winner will play the winner of NC State and Pudue, with the losers facing off on November 29. However, the results on Thanksgiving go, and there is some good opposition for Ole Miss to test itself against over the two days.
