Ole Miss vs. Jackson State women's basketball: How to watch, odds, and more
Ole Miss, coming off a road win over Delaware State, takes on Jackson State at the Pavilion today. After the close Game 1 loss against No. 3 ranked USC, the Ole Miss women have handled business and look to continue their impressive scoring against the Tigers.
Transfer Starr Jacobs led the team with 18 points against Delaware State, Kennedy Todd-Williams with nine rebounds, and KK Deans with seven assists, showing the team's versatility. Todd-Williams was close to a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, and alongside Deans and Madison Scott, they are a fearsome threesome.
Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has been able to give minutes to some of the first and second-year players with the one-sided wins. Heloisa Carrera, Mariyah Noel, and Fatumata Djalo look like future stars for the Rebels in seasons to come.
Mali-born Sira Thienou took advantage of her minutes and looks like a player who could contribute significantly to the team throughout the season. Averaging 17 minutes per game shows she is not a first-year player there to sit and learn.
You can't take any tea for granted, but this should be another game in which Coach Yo can share minutes with her full roster.
