Can Ole Miss record another impressive win before SEC play begins?

Ole Miss basketball plays its final nonconference game of the 2024-25 season, a challenging road game against Memphis. A win for the Rebels would give them another high-caliber victory and put them in a good position heading into SEC play in January.

The Tigers are a good team on their day, beating No.2 ranked UConn, but also lost to Arkansas State. They also have a win over Clemson but had two other losses against SEC teams in Auburn and Mississippi State.

Their previous game was the 79-66 loss to the Bulldogs at home, and they will want to end their nonconference play with a win. It would also give them another top 25 ranked win, perhaps moving them back into the AP Poll top 25.

The atmosphere will be electric, with the FedExForum expecting a full house for their white-out game. Ole Miss hasn't won in Memphis since 2015 and only holds three wins to the Tigers' 21 on the road.

PJ Haggerty is the Rebels' danger. He averages 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. He is the only player in Division I averaging at least that amount in each category. If the team can keep him quiet, they will have a great chance of winning the game.
