Three SEC conference games are left in the college basketball regular season; the next is the most important for Ole Miss basketball.

The Rebels are coming off three consecutive losses, the latest a 30-point loss to No.1 ranked Auburn. That can be expected; the Tigers can beat down anybody on its day. However, the losses before to Vanderbilt and rivals Mississippi State were tougher to take.

Before the Auburn loss, Ole Miss was looking at the No.7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They will not have fallen, if not at all, after that, but the next game is a must-win to keep them within that range.

The Reels face the Sooners today, a team 4-11 in SEC play. The game is at the Pavilion before they face two challenging games against top 5 ranked teams, Florida and Tennessee. Beat Oklahoma, and they can play more comfortably against those two teams.

Porter Moser's side is a conundrum. They have lost six of their last seven but recorded a big home win over ranked Mississippi State on home court. This means Chris Beard will need his team to be on it, something we have only seen in small spells recently.

A win will also help towards a first-round bye in the SEC Tournament in a few weeks. It's not going to be easy, but if Ole Miss plays at the high standards we have seen in parts this season, they should grab the win.
