Ole Miss women's basketball continued the recruiting buzz on campus today, landing the No. 1 recruit out of South Carolina. Lauren Jacobs is ranked the No. 83 on the ESPN HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings.

Jacobs joined the Rebels as part of National Signing Day, beating out Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks to their No.1 recruit in the state.

Lauren Jacobs highest commit of the 2025 Class for Coach Yo

Four-star guard Lauren Jacobs is Ole Miss's highest recruit of the 2025 class and brings excitement around her commitment. The former 2023-24 Gatorade Player of the Year Nominee was the leading scorer in South Carolina during the 2023-24 season, averaging 31.5 points per game.

She won four state championships in high school, including back-to-back titles at Heathwood Hall. She also earned SCISA 4A Player of the Year in 2023 and 2024 and All-State honors three consecutive years.

Coach Yo spoke about the commitment, with her recruiting class looking like it's centered around Jacobs.

Jacobs is also the leading scorer on her club team, A'Ja Wilson Elite 17U, and has been a standout player for the the team.
